Win Your Grails
To help kick-start SneakerBible’s launch, we’re going to hook up one user with some of his or her dream sneakers. We are going to buy the contest winner any pair they want (under $500), from FlightClub, eBay, SoleCollector, or any other site online!
So, how can you win your grails? All you have to do is contribute to SneakerBible. To enter, simply create a page on the wiki, the more pages you make – the better your chances of winning.
Bonus: We are also rewarding those who don't just create new pages but also edit and contribute to existing pages. When we determine the winning page, if anyone other than the page creator has contributed to the page, they will win $100 cash. If nobody else has edited that page, we will select another page that has a second editor. If multiple people have edited the page, the person who has contributed the most (other than the page creator) will win the money.

How Long Will The Contest Run?
Pages that are created between Wednesday, February 24 and Wednesday March 24 will count as entries in the contest.
How will the winner be selected?
Mediawiki keeps a record of who created and edited each and every page on the site. Each page you create on the wiki will be attributed to you, and we are able to easily look in and see who is responsible for contributing what.
Mediawiki also has a nifty “random page” link that makes it easy for us to find a random page. So, at the end of the contest, all we have to do is click the “random page” link, and whoever created that page wins the contest. So, your odds of winning increase with each additional page you create.
We will be doing a live screencast of the winner selection, so you can rest assured that the contest will not be rigged. The winner will then be announced on the main page and contacted via email.
How long does a page have to be to qualify?
We encourage users to add as much useful content to pages as possible. To prevent people from just tossing up tons of pages with hardly any substance, there are a few requirements for pages. In order for a page to count as an entry in the contest it must have:
1 )At least 4 sentences.
2) An image.
Important note: If a page is for a specific sneaker, and it includes statistics broken up as they are on a page like Nike SB Hulk Dunk High, the minimum is only two additional sentences, as it can be difficult to find much information beyond these stats for some shoes. Again, while these are the minimum requirements, we hope that everyone will try to add as much information as they can to the database!
How will the winner get the shoes?
The winner of the contest has pretty much free reign over what shoes he/she will get and where they will come from. Any shoes under $500 can be picked, from any online store, forum, etc. We will purchase the shoes, have them shipped to us, and then send them on to the winner. If they are from a forum, we will contact the forum user who is selling the shoes and handle the transaction from there.
