Air Jordan II White/Columbia Blue/Maize "Melo"
Carmelo Anthony was drafted in the 2003 NBA draft. He was the 3rd overall draft pick. Jordan Brand eventually saw him as a franchise player, so they agreed to sign Carmelo Anthony to the Jordan Team. Carmelo would eventually have his own signature shoe. But sadly, the same year, they were not able to make his shoe in time, so instead they created him a customized player exclusive pair of Jordan II's. It consist of all White, Colombia Blue, and Yellow Maize colors matching Carmelo's Denver Nuggets color. Unlike many player exclusive sneakers, they were released to the public as a "Lifestyle" release meaning semi-limited release. Though not very limited, it is still popular and when released, sold out. Retail was the usual $110 but today can reach up to $250 for a unworn pair.
